On 27 January 2026, RTBF - via the radio station Vivacity<\/em> - came to meet us to do a report with one of our head nurses, Marie Paquet. The journalist, Ms Croufer, had asked us to shed light on a day-to-day reality that is often overlooked: the mobility and parking constraints faced by care and home help professionals in Li\u00e8ge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A report rooted in real-life experience<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ahead of the interview, we shared with RTBF a number of concrete elements from our 2025 activity in the Li\u00e8ge sector. These illustrate the scale of our commitment and the challenges our teams face every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nursing in Li\u00e8ge in 2025 :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Approximately 30 nurses and care assistants<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Approximately 330 patients per month<\/strong>, or nearly 48,000 treatments per year<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    For the daily living assistance service<\/strong> (family helpers, social housekeepers, home childminders) :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Approximately 210 service providers<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Approximately 560 beneficiaries per month<\/strong>, or nearly 60,000 accompaniments per year<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

      These figures show the extent to which our teams are present on the ground, as close as possible to patients and beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Parking: a very real problem<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      The report also tackled an issue that is well known to our teams: city parking. In 2025, this means :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • 78 PV in Li\u00e8ge<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • 16 PV<\/strong> in the other arrondissements (Li\u00e8ge-Huy-Waremme),
        at a cost ranging from \u20ac40 (parking meter) to \u20ac80 (riverside zone).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Since October 2024, however, the City of Li\u00e8ge has introduced a support measure for carers: the possibility of benefiting from a local residents\u00ab pass at \u20ac100 per year per vehicle<\/strong>.
        Today, 165 subscriptions in progress<\/strong> within our institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        This is an important step forward, even if the difficulties of access, circulation and availability of places remain a real challenge on a daily basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Committed teams, despite the obstacles<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Beyond the figures, this report is above all an opportunity to highlight the commitment of our teams. Despite traffic jams, lack of space and mobility constraints, our professionals do their utmost every day to :<\/p>\n\n\n\n
