Who are we?
Home Help and Care Liège – Huy – Waremme, in partnership with the Mutualité Chrétienne de Liège, provides and coordinates integrated, multidisciplinary home help and care services in the districts of Liège - Huy - Waremme. It promotes networking to meet patients' needs. To do this, it can count on the collaboration of more than 750 professionals (family helpers, nurses, care assistants, home nurses, coordinators, social household helpers, multi-skilled workers, nursery nurses, etc.).
Your tasks:
You will work with the beneficiaries of the ASBL. Priority is given to people who are losing their physical or social independence (elderly, isolated, disabled and/or in financial difficulty). Through your work, you will help to keep people in their own homes and improve their physical and emotional comfort. The services offered include home repairs and/or home improvements;
- Small painting jobs,
- Upholstering and refurbishing the home,
- DIY repairs,
- Basic electricity,
- Plumbing,
- Joinery,
- home security work,
- Exterior maintenance (frame maintenance, small-scale masonry work, garden sheds, hedge trimming, lawn mowing, etc.).
Cross-functional tasks
- Promote and uphold ASD's operations and values, ensuring that all professional activities comply with the quality charter.
- Integrate one's actions in accordance with the rules of professional ethics, duty of discretion, professional secrecy and shared secrecy.
- Comply with safety standards and apply basic rules to avoid any risk to your health (accidents and illness).
- Complete the various administrative documents and strictly adhere to the relevant instructions and deadlines.
- Actively participate in training courses (by assessing his/her needs and in consultation with his/her manager) and ensure that the skills acquired are put into practice.
Desired profile
Required qualification
- No specific qualifications are required. However, a technical qualification is desired (convincing experience in painting, upholsteryssage, plumbing and electricity).
- You must have a driving licence and a personal vehicle.
Required skills
- Ability to work independently, in accordance with the instructions given by the department manager
- Know how to work in compliance with safety rules
- Knowing how to adapt your approach to situations at home.
- Demonstrate an ability to observe, reflect, analyse and communicate information about situations encountered.
- Develop interpersonal skills, listening skills, and the ability to build relationships.
- Being able to react in exceptional circumstances.
- Be rigorous in following administrative instructions.
- Comply with the rules of professional conduct, duty of discretion, professional secrecy and shared secrecy.
